AN unnamed Hollywood A-list actor has been diagnosed with HIV, it has been revealed.The superstar, who has not been named, is said to have had a number of high-profile relationships with women over the years.

He is now reported to be facing legal action if he is identified, with his previous lovers expected to make legal claims. Reportedly, the star has known "for a number of years" that he is HIV positive, meaning he could have knowingly put women at risk.

A source told The Sun: "It  has now become common knowledge that this star is HIV positive, something he has known for a number of years."

According to reports, the star's ex-lovers include an award-winning actress, a movie star, a glamour model, a TV show favorite and a celebrated media personality.

Friends of the actor are said to have encouraged him to go public with his condition, but the star apparently refused to do so. A source told the newspaper: "Lots of people close to him have suggested he face this situation head-on and own it publicly." The actor is said to be "distraught" about his condition becoming public knowledge believing it could become "a defining quality of his career."
