Statement by
the High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini on the attack in
Cairo, Egypt:
"Once again
Egypt is under attack, once again Europeans have been hit by terrorists. The
attack, which killed at least one and wounded many others in front of the
Italian consulate in Cairo during the holy month of Ramadan, is another attempt
to defy the Egyptian and European resolve to fight terrorism. My thoughts go to
the families of the victims, to the Egyptian and Italian authorities and
people. We will remain united in facing the common threat of terrorism. We
stand by the Egyptian authorities in their efforts to fight terrorism and bring
the perpetrators of this attack to justice."

ونائب الرئيس فيدريكا موجريني عن الهجوم في القاهرة:
"مرة أخرى
تتعرض مصر للهجوم، ومرة أخرى يتعرض الأوروبيون للهجوم من قبل الإرهابيين . إن الهجوم
الذي أسفر عن مقتل واحد على الأقل وإصابة عدد كبير أمام القنصلية الإيطالية في القاهرة
خلال شهر رمضان المبارك ، هو محاولة أخرى لتحدي عزم المصريين والأوروبيين لمكافحة الإرهاب
.أفكاري تذهب لأسر الضحايا والسلطات و الشعب المصرية والإيطالية. وسوف نبقى متحدين
في مواجهة التهديد المشترك للإرهاب .نحن نقف الى جانب السلطات المصرية في جهودها الرامية
إلى مكافحة الإرهاب وتقديم مرتكبي هذا الهجوم إلى العدالة ."
